Mrs. Lela Appelbee, age 82, of Sherman, Texas died January 21, 2004, in Sherman. She was born January 30, 1921, in Collin County, Texas to Oscar and Lena (Jones) Holland. Mrs. Appelbee was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Sherman. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sara Appelbee of Pottsboro, Texas; brothers, Charles Holland and Tommy Holland both of Baird, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband, Neville Appelbee; one sister and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, with Rev. Bob Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Highway 75, Exit 38.
