Mrs. Dorothy Baker

Mrs. Dorothy Baker, age 85, of McKinney, Texas and formerly of Sherman, Texas passed away on March 24, 2004 at Provident Living Center in McKinney. She was born on November 6, 1918 in Houston, Texas to Grady and Ethel (Tally) Burke. She married Harry J. Baker on April 19, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma. Mrs. Baker was a legal secretary and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Sherman, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Harriet Lovetere and husband, John of McKinney; grandchildren, Shawn Morrison Hayden and husband, Rod of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kaelan Morrison Stewart and husband, Chris of McKinney, and Allen Baker Morrison and wife, Ataloa of Keller, Texas; great grandchildren, Katherine and Zachary Hayden and Emily and Jenna Stewart; sister, Katherine Wilson of Lake Fork, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband and sister, Virginia Reynolds. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of McKinney with Fr. Chuck Treadwell and Mtr. Virginia Holleman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave., Ste. 1100, Chicago, IL 60611-1617, or to VNA Hospice, 1440 W. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75247-4929.
