Monique (Nicky) Rosine Shea of McKinney, Texas passed unexpectedly October 30, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born on September 26, 1959 to Robert LeMoal and Georgette Kourgelay LeMoal in Queens, New York. Monique was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Outside of being an amazing chef, her proudest accomplishments were being a loving wife and mother.
Monique is survived by her husband, Stephen Shea; daughters, Kelsey and Meghan Shea; father, Robert LeMoal; sisters, Lisa Amaro and Michele Nogueras; brother in laws, Nick Amaro and Juan Nogueras. Monique was preceded in death by her mother, Georgette LeMoal.
Monique was a passionate and thoughtful mother and wife, dedicated to caring for her family and bringing them joy. She met her husband and best friend Stephen Shea in New York City and they celebrated over 36 years of marriage together in May. Stephen and Monique raised their daughters in McKinney, Texas and lived a wonderful life full of happiness, tennis & track events, excellent meals, and an exceptional amount of love. She was so proud of her children and cherished their success and happiness and most importantly how close they are as sisters.
Monique’s love was infectious, her thoughtfulness was admirable, her intellectual curiosity was unmatched, and her passion for football, reading, and politics was remarkable. She loved her family with all her heart, and they will miss her dearly – her legacy will live on with her beloved daughters, Kelsey and Meghan.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Monique will be held privately with her immediate family.
