Mollie Beth Stratton

Mollie Beth Stratton, 81, of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022.  Mollie was born on July 11, 1940 in Sherman, Texas to Don Morton and Mollie Dean (Head) McConnell.  She was raised in Gunter, Texas.  Mollie married Wayne Perry Stratton on November 2, 1962 in Commerce.  Mollie was a member of Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman.  While raising their family in Allen, Mollie started a flourishing business, Country Embroidery, specializing in custom chenille patches on letterman jackets.  Mollie and Wayne loved cheering on their grandchildren, swinging in their garden watching the birds and the squirrels, and spending time out on Lake Texoma with their family. 

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Perry Stratton of Pottsboro, Texas; brother, Don McConnell of Boyd, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Campbell and husband, Alan of Fairview, Texas; son, Bobby Stratton and wife, Angela of Red Oak, Texas; son, Alan Wayne Stratton and wife, Jennifer of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Amber Jenkins, Elizabeth Campbell Jones, Cody Stratton, Katherine Campbell, Brianna Stratton, Thomas Campbell, Bryan Spencer, and Hunter Stratton; great grandchildren, Gunnar, Esme, Wyatt, and Jack; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Mollie was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mollie McConnell; daughter, Mindy Darlene Stratton Spencer; and nephew, Denny McConnell.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Rusty Sherry officiating. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Mollie’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/mollie-beth-stratton. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
