Mitchell Glenn Hill, 69, born February 23, 1951 to Eugene Hill and Ruby Louise (Keller) Hill in McKinney, Texas. He married the love of his life, Vickey Gibson, in Fairview, Texas on April 22, 1970. He passed quietly in his sleep after a long struggle with COPD on May 8, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
Mitch, as he was known by all his family and friends, was a paint and body man at Hills Paint & Body with his 3 brothers in McKinney. Later, right before his disability, he worked as a supervisor for an underground electrical service company. His favorite was being a high school baseball umpire for the Collin County Umpires Association. Mitch loved calling in the Micky Mantle World Series and considered the other umpires as brothers and all the players as his kids. He loved all his family and grandbabies, even though they are almost grown he still thought of them as his babies.
He is survived by his wife, Vickey and son/grandson, Andrew Hill of Chambersville; grandson, Christopher Hill (Kayla) of Sherman; granddaughters, Chasiti Hill (Xan Ridley) of McKinney and Camryn Hill (his babygirl) of Hermleigh, Texas; sisters, Melba Scalf and Debbie Hill Gonzales of McKinney and many nieces and nephews, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Hill; daughter, Patti Hill; brothers, Jimmy, Don and Marion Hill and his parents, Eugene and Ruby Hill.
