IN LOVING MEMORY

Misty Leilani Sloggett

Aug 27 1976 - Jan 26 2019

Misty Leilani of House Sloggett, first of her name, graced us with her presence for the final time on Saturday, January 26, 2019.

She leaves behind her beloved family, husband Michael, two children, Milla and Noah, and a collection of Game of Thrones merchandise.  Even though her diagnosis was cancer, those who truly knew her feel that it was the long wait for the last season of her beloved television show, Game of Thrones, that ultimately led to her passing.

Leilani was born in California and raised in the beautiful state of Hawaii.  She was world renowned for always having perfect eyebrows and her usage of the word “dude” as well as being just over-all Kick-Ass all the time.

If you were her friend then you were her family... She had a heart that was incapable of hate, and a mind that was overflowing with common sense.  In a nutshell, she was perfect and if you never met her then you missed out on an opportunity to be with one of the most incredible human beings to ever walk the face of this Earth.

Amazing is a word that is severely over-used in today’s society, but it appropriately fits when describing Leilani.  She was born on August 27, 1976 to her loving parents, Sandra and Davey Reid.  A few years later, she became a big sister to her forever best friend, Kawika Reid.  She enjoyed growing up in a time with no internet and cellphones so she led a very fulfilling childhood and an insanely exciting teenage/young adult life with no pictures or videos to come back to haunt her.

On August 9, 2003 she married Michael Sloggett, who not only turned out to be the best husband, but also liked to do “Hood Rat” shit with her.  In January 2006, she took on her most gratifying role as mom to her strong and strikingly beautiful daughter, Milla.  Leilani solidified her role as “The Mom that people are jealous of”, when she welcomed her incredibly handsome and smart son, Noah.  Of course, she crushed being a wife and mother just like everything else this crazy bad-ass woman did in life.

Even though we all miss her, we know she is at peace now and is now able to give her father a hug again.  She was the true Khalessi and we were all just her Jorah.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.

Leilani and the family asks that you make memorial donations to your favorite charity and try to live each day like Leilani would, spontaneously with love and grace, and to never run away, but always face life head-on and kick-ass...This beautiful soul will never be forgotten as she provided us all with a gift of her light shining through the faces of not only her children, but every single person she came in contact with. THANK-YOU LEILANI
