Mindy Darlene Stratton of Pottsboro, Texas passed away August 22, 2020 at the age of 53. She was born October 3, 1966 to Wayne Perry Stratton and Mollie Beth (McConnell) Stratton in Dallas, Texas. Mindy grew up in Allen and in 1985 she graduated from Allen High, the same school that her father graduated from.
Mindy enjoyed being with her family and spending time with them at Lake Texoma where she learned to water ski at an early age. The hours spent at the lake hanging out on the boat and swimming at the beach were precious to her. Her son, Bryan was her pride and joy and sharing in his activities brought her great happiness. She was his biggest supporter in his chosen career path of athletic training. Mindy was also an integral part of the family business, serving as the bookkeeper and helping with customer service. She loved to cook and excelled at it. The family looked forward to her dishes at get-togethers and celebrations.
Mindy is survived by her son, Bryan Spencer of Pottsboro, Texas; parents, Wayne and Mollie Stratton of Pottsboro, Texas; sister, Becky Campbell and her husband, Alan of Fairview; brothers, Bobby Stratton and wife, Angela of Red Oak and Alan Wayne Stratton and wife, Jennifer of McKinney along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service. Face coverings are required at the visitation and the service.
A “come and go” family visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Mindy’s obituary page.
However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Mindy and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service, maintaining social distancing, or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Alan Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Bobby Page, Bryan Spencer, Alan Wayne Stratton and Bobby Stratton.
