Mildred Mardell (Alexander) Stephens of Arlington, Texas passed away on February 6, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born on December 21, 1928 to George Dewey Alexander and Exie (Carter) Alexander in Madill, Oklahoma. Mildred went to high school in Madill ISD. She married Howard Warner Stephens on December 28, 1961 in Galesburg, Illinois. Mildred’s hobbies included shopping and playing cards. She enjoyed her family, cooking and traveling. Mildred was of Baptist faith. Her family was very important to her.
Mildred is survived by her son, Jerry W. Martin and wife, Becky of Arlington, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Chris Martin and wife, Trina of Hallsville, Texas and Ladd Freeman and wife, Michelle of Hallsville, Texas; 6 great-grandchildren, Miranda Martin, Samantha Martin, Christian Martin, Paige Freeman, Taylor Freeman and Alex Freeman; great-greatgrandchild, Aniston Martin and a special friend, Debbie Bolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Exie Alexander; husband, Howard W. Stephens; son, George Martin; brothers, Charles Alexander and Cecil Alexander; sister, Alene McGraw, Doris Biggs, Molly Speaks and Velva Monroe.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
