Mildred Ledean (Carroll) Yates, age 90, of Frisco, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was born April 2, 1927, in Frisco, Texas, to William Bryant and Bessie Faye (Marshall) Carroll. Ledean married Earl Lester Yates in Frisco on September 22, 1945. She was a devoted wife and mother, who also worked outside the home for many years. Ledean was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Frisco for over 70 years and was also involved with many activities of the Frisco ISD and community as she and Earl raised their family in Frisco.
Ledean is survived by her children, Brenda Gutierrez, Randy Yates and his wife, Connie, and Jimmy Yates and his wife, Debby, all of Frisco; her grandchildren, Richard Gutierrez, Danny Gutierrez, Ryan Yates and his wife, Melissa, Meredith Rodriguez and her husband, Chris, and Molly Yates; her great-grandchildren, Isaac Yates, Hannah Yates, and Jaken Rodriguez; her brother, Marshall Carroll and his wife, Ilene, of Garland, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Yates, and her brother, William Carroll.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at First Baptist Church of Frisco on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas.
