Mildred Crooks

Mrs. Mildred (Midge) Crooks, formerly of Rio Rancho, New Mexico went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2006, in Richardson, Texas, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Mrs. Crooks was born October 31, 1923 to Earl and Ester Brimmer in Vestal, New York. On October 17, 1943, she married William (Bill) Crooks in Endicott, New York. They spent most of their married life in New York before retiring to New Mexico where they served the Lord in various churches and made numerous friends. A few years ago Mrs. Crooks moved to Texas to be close to family and was a member of First Baptist Church of Plano, Texas. Mrs. Crooks was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She leaves behind many loving family members and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at the church in August. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Plano, library or music programs.
