It seemed to me that Mike Ratliff almost always had a pair of cleats on, whether it was baseball, football, or track. He was a natural at all sports, basketball included. The thing that I remember the most about Mike is not the sports; but that he was super kind, always polite. Mike never missed an opportunity to wave hello to you! Terry Walker

BUD and KIM MORRELL, August 14, 2019 Uncles are very important people in our lives. My Uncle Mike was no exception!! First he was my sweet Aunt Kelly’s loving husband. And my amazing cousins’ amazing, supportive father! He was also one of the brave father’s of the 80’s who took on the incredible, almost unknown and undaunting role of stay at home father when there were very few in the world. How courageous and committed he was to his family!! He was always warm and welcoming with his funny chuckle, sly smile and low toned sarcastic humour that was always right on. And he seemed to have this super power of funny little, surprising comments when you thought he wasn’t even listening. He was warm and loving to me in the most subtle way. Never imposing but always attentive. I will remember his sparkling eyes, jolly familiarity and steady patience. Mike, you will be missed!! Stacey

Craig Wilson, August 11, 2019 It is hard to believe Mike is gone. When he and his family lived in Colorado, Mike was a dedicated volunteer for Niwot Youth Sports, someone you could always count on. He made the youth sports programs better for all kids, not just his own. He was a great guy - my condolences to the Ratliff family. May you take comfort in your memories .
