Michael “Mike” Quinones, age 46, of Celina, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, just days before his 47th birthday, with his beloved wife and children by his side.
Mike was a fighter, a protector, and a man who loved his family with his whole heart. After a brave five-year battle with cancer, he is finally at rest—no longer in pain, but wrapped in peace.
Born 7/12/1978 and raised in Frisco, Texas, Mike carried his roots proudly and built a life centered on hard work, deep love, and unwavering loyalty. On November 12, 2022, he married the love of his life, Cristen Nicole Quinones, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. They had only 7 short years together but their bond was unbreakable, one of soulmates—best friends, partners, and teammates through life’s highest highs and most difficult valleys.
Mike was first and foremost a dedicated husband and a proud father. He is survived by his wife, Cristen; his children: Tayler, Analesia, Hayden and his stepchildren Anthony, Haleigh, Taylore, and Alyviah and he was Pop Pop to little Alexzander—each of whom was his heart, his pride, and his reason to keep fighting. His legacy lives on through each of them, in their strength, spirit, and resilience.
He is also survived by his parents, Leticia Rodriguez and Jose Quinones; his siblings, Rene, Johnny, Maria, Cynthia, Lorena, Gabriela, Adrian, and Ricky; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends—many of whom became chosen family over the years.
Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gabriel & Anita Rodriguez, his paternal grandparents, Juan & Carmen Quinones & uncles Ramon, Jose & Juan Rodriguez, and baby Johnny.
To know Mike was to know loyalty, grit, humor, and heart. He was the kind of man who was so generous & showed up—whether it was for his kids, family or just a friend in need. His absence will be deeply felt.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, TX 75033. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to come celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
