IN LOVING MEMORY

Mike Lloyd Kidd

Mar 20 1957 - Sep 20 2025

Michael “Mike” Lloyd Kidd, 68 of Princeton TX, was called home on September 20, 2025, in McKinney, TX.

Mike was known to be gentle, compassionate, soft-spoken, and warmhearted. He was often quiet and had the love of being a spectator. He enjoyed sitting back, watching, and appreciating life as people drove or passed by. Mike leaves behind a legacy of grit, good humor, a wholehearted love for his two daughters, and anyone who needed kindness. Mike was the true meaning of benevolent. Mike had a desire to always to help when someone was in need.

Mike was the son of Travis Lloyd Kidd and Betty Marcell (Hunter) Kidd of Texarkana, TX., born on March 20th, 1957.

He is survived by his children, Nancy Marie (Kidd) Shoemaker and son-in-law, Kenneth Ragan Shoemaker, III of Princeton, TX; Jodie Michelle Kidd of Dallas, TX; his 7 grandchildren, Jordon Nava, Savanna Kidd, Jaydon Nava, Alondra Nava, Christopher Shoemaker, Aubrey Kidd, and Kenneth Shoemaker, IV; his great grandchildren, Saint Johnson, Ella-Mae Culverhouse, Mylah Johnson, and Cairo Johnson; his aunts, LaDaughn Darby of Longview, TX; Linda Fletcher of Redding, CA; Loretta Schneider of New Boston, TX; Sandra Daniels of New Boston, TX; Tina Syphers of Hooks, TX; and uncle, Harold Nichols of Redwater, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Betty Kidd; brothers, Kenneth Kidd and Timothy Kidd; aunt, Erma Baker; and first wife, Nancy Warren.

With much love and heavy hearts, we want to gather to celebrate the life of Mike Kidd, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, nephew, and friend. Please join us to share your favorite memories and stories of a life well-lived.
