Remembering a life lived for Jesus and serving others.

 Mickey Ivey lived her life one focus, serving God and serving others. She was a loving and devoted wife of 68 years and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and visionary leader of women. She touched countless lives, and she has left a legacy.

Mickey was born on June 25, 1936 in Hollis Oklahoma to Ford Adolf Carter and Marie Inez Kellison and was the youngest of 2 girls. She grew up in Pettit Texas and attended High School there and met the love of her life Charles Lee Ivey in the 8th grade and were married on September 2, 1955. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.

Mickey became a pastor's wife and immediately embraced her calling in the Church. She also was a devoted mother to 4 children. Daniel Mark Ivey, David Lee Ivey, Joe Bob Ivey and Anita Jill Ivey (Mathews). She is a grandmother to 10 and a great grandmother to 23. Her commitment to her family was undeniable and she was loved by them all. MaMa Mickey was a term of endearment that was one of her greatest treasures.

Mickey also had a huge impact on countless thousands of women as she built a business in MaryKay Cosmetics and elevated herself to the pinnacle of success as a Sr. Executive National Sales Director. Her reputation and example of God first Family Second and Career third and leading with Integrity and Work Ethic is still referenced today. She was a MaryKay pioneer building the company along side Mary Kay Ash. Her legacy will live on for generations through the lives of the women she mentored and led.

Mickey was preceded in death by her husband Charles, and talked often about being reunited with him, we know they are dancing the streets of gold together today! She also was preceded by her granddaughter Julia Ivey. She is survived by her Sister Frances Stanley and her 4 children and their families.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd., Plano, Texas.  Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas for a committal service.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
