If you ever met him, you would never forget him. Alan Gage, January 16, 2022 Micky was my husband's best friend growing up in Garland. He was what a true friend is all about. He genuinely cared about people and could light up a room with his laugh. When my husband died, he would come by to check on me to see if I was ok every chance he could. I’m sure he and my Mike are spinning new tales together right now. RIP Miky.
Eileen Bowles, January 16, 2022 Wendell and Lori, I loved Mike like a brother and I can feel the pain of your loss. Mike and I were about ten years old when the Hendricks moved in across the street. And that’s when the adventures began. I remember catching crawdeads and skipping rocks at Duckcreek, riding his Honda 90 around Garland with no license, working at Jack’s gas station in Farmersville from dark to dark, playing football together, sneaking out Jack and Marie’s car, going to summer camp, wrapping houses, working construction jobs during the summer, double dating, trips we went on, keeping in contact through college, our weddings and so much more. It was a lifetime of adventures. Now the last few years it’s been more about talking and remembering what we used to do and how we survived it all. Mike was everyone’s best friend. Great personality, always in a great mood, positive attitude, fantastic story teller, always ready for a new adventure, always ready to help others, he was so much fun to be around. Mike, I am going to miss you so much! You were and always will be such a huge part of my life!
Brent Brawley , January 15, 2022 Wow, what positive things can't you say about Mike, not many. A great friend to all he knew, proud father, great storyteller who would leave you in tears of laughter and an overall fun guy to be around. I loved him as a brother and will miss him greatly. Jeffery Kelley, January 9, 2022 Some of the best times of my life were at the Hendricks house with the entire family -(even Pudge)! I would run into Mikey occasionally and he was always kind and very upbeat. It hurts a tad to think that he has passed but his memory and the laughs we shared outweighs the hurt. Our condolences to the family. James Fitzpatrick , January 8, 2022 So sorry to hear this about Mike, we went to South Garland together and he was a good guy. HE will be missed!
Mike Rainey, January 6, 2022 Peace Brother.
Rick Farmer, January 5, 2022 48 years ago on a hot August day at Henderson County jr. college little did I know I just met my best friend. Mike and I remained friends for all these years and never had a cross word between us. Mike had a special quality and he saw the best in everyone he met. Most of all, I will miss us teasing each other brutally and laughing the whole time. Through all the fun we had playing football to standing at each others weddings to the birth of our children to the passing of all of our parents, we were a witness to each others lives and it was an honor My Friend. I know my mom was in line to give you a hug when you got to Heaven. I will see you when I get there Partner. Robby
