Michael Galloway of Plano, Texas passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 65. He was born on August 5, 1955 to K.B. and Betty (Wood) Galloway in Tifton, Georgia. Michael married Deborah Wacasey on June 20, 1975 in Greenville, Texas. He is of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Galloway of Plano, Texas; daughter, Amber Galloway and wife, Jessica Jones of Allen, Texas; son, Brad Galloway and wife, Alyson of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Daxlee Galloway of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Riley Galloway of Allen Texas; grandson, Heaton Galloway of McKinney, Texas; father, K.B. Galloway of Greenville, Texas; brother, Billy Galloway and wife, Gail of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sisters, Linda Alexander and husband, David of Greenville, Texas and Brenda Stringfellow and husband, Aaron of Fate, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother.
Mike’s kindness, wisdom and humor will live on in all the lives he touched. He cherished every moment with friends and family. We will take it from here. Rest in Peace Grumps.
A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Michael’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/michael-lee-galloway. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Michael and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation.
