Michael Wayne Havens, of Allen, Texas passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 59. He was born on October 23, 1964, in Fincastle, Virginia, Michael was the beloved son of Shirley (Custer) and John Havens, Jr.
A proud graduate of Christiansburg High School, Class of 1983, Michael lived a life full of passion and dedication. Michael served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. On January 21, 2017, he married Lynne McAuliffe, creating a blended family filled with love and cherished memories. Michael was most recently employed at HOK Global Designs in Dallas, Texas as a Security and Technology Consultant.
Michael enjoyed woodworking, where his meticulous craftsmanship was evident in every project. Equally passionate about cooking, he found joy in preparing meals on his smoker, creating dishes that brought comfort and pleasure to those who shared his table. He loved having people over for football games and celebrating holidays with family and friends.
A devoted husband, father, stepfather, and brother, Michael's love for his family was unwavering. He cherished his role as father in his children’s lives, offering guidance, support, and boundless affection. He also found great joy in spending time with his family and animals, who were an integral part of his life.
Michael's legacy is one of kindness and dedication to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne Havens of Allen, Texas; son, Mathew Havens of Pennsylvania; son, Danny Havens of Christiansburg, Virginia; son, Brett Havens of Plano, Texas; stepson, Jorden Couvier of Allen, Texas; stepson, Cayden Couvier of Allen, Texas brother, Tony and wife Connie Havens of Spring Lake, North Carolina; and mother, Shirley Havens of Spring Lake, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Havens, Jr.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
