IN LOVING MEMORY

Michael Thomas Trice

Apr 13 1963 - Nov 12 2024

Michael was born in Brownwood, Texas. He grew up with his parents and his brother.  He is survived by both of his parents Richard and Patricia Trice, his brother Wilson Trice, his wife Deborah Trice, his daughter and son-in-law, Anastacia "Staci" and Jason Turner, his grandson (who was more like a son) Drayke Trice, his mother-in-law Lori Justice, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dennis and Brenda Johnson, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Michael loved fishing, golfing, and hunting. He would never pass up an opportunity to go. He competed in several golf tournaments, which was always for charity. He would go golfing for Father’s Day with his son-in-law. He went hunting with his close buddies, and would come back telling all kinds of stories, one in particular, killing a rattle-snake. He enjoyed more than anything taking his grandson fishing. He also participated in Chili Cookoffs, and the proceeds also went to charity. Among all of this, he loved watching all types of sports, especially if they were Texas/Dallas teams.

He worked for Ivey Lumber for 30 years. While there he formed many friendships that turned into family. There was not much he did not know about the lumber business. Through this he also made several close bonds with the customers/contractors. He held his friends close to his heart as he did his family.

There was nothing that Michael wouldn't do for his family. He loved being a husband and dad, but he loved being a father role model to his grandson. His grandson was the apple of his eye.

I can say Michael never met a stranger, and if you met him, he was not easy to forget. Whether it was his height or just conversation, he just stayed in your mind.

He we will be greatly missed by so many. However, his story will also live on through so many.

Rest in peace Big bird, our gentle giant.
