With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Michael Shane Wilson on April 29, 2026.
Michael was born April 7, 1968 and grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma where he spent his childhood playing little league baseball, fishing, and playing football for the Duncan Demons. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1986 and briefly attended Oklahoma State University before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany where he proudly served as an Intelligence Programmer. He was recognized for his dedication and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and was a Medal of Honor recipient for The John Levitow Award. He then went on to be the first in his family to graduate with a college degree from the University of Maryland in 1991.
Michael married and moved to Frisco, Texas in 1992 and welcomed the birth of his daughters, Ellen in 1996 and Christiane in 1997. He was a faithful employee to Texas Instruments for 32 years and earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Dallas. On the weekends, you could find him playing guitar, attending his daughters' volleyball games, and cheering on the OSU Cowboys. He looked forward to hunting trips, family reunions in Broken Bow, and visiting his daughters at Texas A&M and Texas Tech. He was proud to become a father-in-law when his daughter, Ellen, married Hunter Jones in 2024. Above all else, Michael's greatest joy was being a father and spending time with his loved ones.
After a five year battle with Parkinson's disease, he passed peacefully at the age of 58. Michael is survived by his two daughters; Christiane Wilson and Ellen Jones of Dallas, Texas. Though he is no longer with us, the impact he made on the lives of his family and friends will forever resonate in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
