On 11 January 2017, Michael Lynn Moseley, 69, was called back to active duty to join the legions of angels and soldiers of Jesus’ Army. Michael was born on 26 March 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas, the son of Thomas P. Moseley and Melba L. (Hunt) Moseley. Later moving to Omaha, Nebraska with his family, Michael graduated from South Omaha High School in 1965. He volunteered for military active duty and served a 1 year tour in Vietnam as an operating room surgical nurse, and returned to the United States where he continued his military career. After 20 years of service as an Army Nurse, Michael retired in July 1985. Michael attained the Military rank Master Sergeant (E-8). After retirement, Michael continued his nursing profession and federal service for another 20 years, working at The Department of Veterans Affairs in El Paso, Texas.
His awards and decorations include Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, of 51 years; his daughter, Michelle (Donald) of Celina, Texas; his son, Michael Jr. (Cherylynn) of Centerville, TX; his mother, Melba of Celina, TX; his sister, Lorene (Elio) of Katy, TX; his brother, Tommie (Shari) of Omaha, NE; his sister Susan of Celina, TX; his grandsons, Cody and Dylan (Celina) and Travis (Georgetown); and his granddaughters, McKenzie (Celina) and Randa (Georgetown).
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and two grandsons, Andrew and Adam.
