Michael Keith McClure

Michael Keith McClure, 86 went home to be with The Lord on January 17, 2022. He was a devoted Christian who cherished his family and friends. Michael was born July 10, 1935, in Kerrville, Texas, to Claude Russell and Lorene (Broyles) McClure.  He married Ernestine Tibbitts on April 18, 1957, in Dallas, Texas. Michael’s family cherished the love and wisdom he gave. Michael shared his love for the Lord singing in the church choir and Silver Chords southern gospel group. Michael taught the youth and young couples in Sunday school at church. Michael was always a witness to others about the love of Jesus. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church. Michael was proud to have served his country as a United States Marine in the Korean War and had a forty-eight-year career as a machinist at Texas Instruments and Halliburton. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Linda Silvey of The Colony, Texas and Laurie Gann and husband, David, also of The Colony; grandchildren, Katy M. Allen and husband, J.D., James Garrison and wife, Heather, Holly N. Gann, Zachary D. Gann and wife, Kaylin, Spencer M. Gann and wife, Brittian, Parker K. Gann, Jennifer Harris, and Christopher T. Silvey; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Gann, Isaiah Ferguson, Ava Allen, Garrison Allen, Acelynn Gann, Sophia Garrison, Xander Gann, Brynlee Gann, Olivia Ferguson, Luke Garrison, Braven Scarbough, Brayden Gann, and Bryson Gann; and brother, Claude Russell McClure, II, along with extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. R. and Lorene McClure, wife, Ernestine McClure, and sister, Betty Rae Killebrew.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main St., Frisco, Texas, 75033.  Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
