Born in New York City, NY, on December 27, 1947, to Michael J. Grimes II and Mary Buckley Grimes. Died March 2, 2007, in Plano, TX. Graduated from St. John’s University, New York, and earned Master’s Degrees at the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas at Dallas. He served as a police officer with the New York City Police Dept. and then became a federal agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Resolution Trust Corporation, and the Justice Department. He is survived by his mother Mary E. Grimes; Mary K. Grimes; sons Michael J Grimes IV, wife Catherine and grandson, Liam, NY, and James Grimes, Plano; daughters Cory Grimes and Kathryn Grimes, Plano: sisters Marion Kettering, Joanne Pantages, Julie Sniffen, and Peggy Yates. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Burial will be at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, New York City, NY.
