Michael Ellis Empey of Allen, Texas passed away July 23, 2022, at the age of 71.  He was born on March 11, 1951, to Homer Ray Empey and Jeanette Tullulah (Scott) Empey in Nuremberg, Germany.  

Michael was raised and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio, Texas. He married the love of his life, Theresa Tokarczyk in Elyria, Ohio on September 13, 1980. Michael served in the United States Air Force as a medic air evac and airman. He had a short career as a stand-up comedian, where he worked many of the company clubs in Fort Lauderdale and the Los Angeles area, with many well-known comedians. Michael was a voice-over actor for several years and was considered for the permanent voice of Donald Duck by Disney. Shortly after, he completed the law enforcement academy at San Antonio College in 1991, then went to work for The Universal Police Department in Universal City, Texas as a patrolman for several years. He then went into the private sector as a criminal investigator for several attorneys for the remainder of his career. Life with Michael was never dull. He always was looking for something new and exciting. Michael was a lifelong lover of music and was an accomplished songwriter.

Michael would like everyone to remember, “Life is full of challenges and miracles. Challenges make us stronger and are a way to express your faith.”

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Empey of Allen, Texas; son, Michael B. Empey and wife, Karolina; granddaughters, Kasia Empey and Mila Empey; brother, H. Ryan Empey and wife, Barbara; sister, Kairolle (Empey) Thomas and husband, Harold; and many loving family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Jeanette Empey.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1404 East Main St, Allen, Texas 75002. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
