Michael Edward Cromley of McKinney, Texas passed away February 13, 2021 at the age of 68. He was born on September 30, 1952 to Fred Edward Cromley and Irma Ruth Grimes in San Angelo, Texas. Michael married Catherine Finnegan on June 1, 1974. He, a native Texan, worked for Exxon Mobile for 31 years. Michael was a Freemason and a member of Hawkins Masonic Lodge #1293. He enjoyed western movies specifically John Wayne movies. Michael loved traveling to Europe, especially Ireland, to see his brothers and sisters-in-law and all his nieces and nephews. He most loved his family and his dog pals. Michael was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle to his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy Cromley of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Colleen Cromley, father, Fred Cromley, brother, Robert Cromley and wife, Denise; nephews, Zach White and Brent White; six brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law, ten nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Ruth Cromley.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the funeral service.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live steam will be available for viewing at the same link location.
Should the maximum number of guests be reached, those who would like to honor Michael and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
A “come and go” visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing and masks will be required.
Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s honor to Collin County Animal Services.
