Michael “Mike” Duane Tennyson, age 65, of Pottsboro, Texas and Pagosa Springs, Colorado passed away on November 4, 2017. He was born April 16, 1952 to Billy Duane and Margaret (Scott) Tennyson in Dayton, Ohio. Mike graduated in 1974 from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana with a Bachelor’s Degree. In 1984, he married Evelyn Breaux in New Orleans, Louisiana where Mike worked for Hibernia National Bank for over twenty years. They moved to Dallas, Texas in 1994, where Mike was a co-owner of Preferred Care Partners Management Group. He loved spending time at his home in Pagosa Springs, riding ATVs in the mountains with visiting friends but mostly he loved spending time with his wife Evelyn and their 2 dogs, Austin and Chayse.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Breaux; step-mother, Toni Tennyson; sister, Michele Tennyson; nieces, Analese Tennyson, Taylor Radke and Julia Breaux; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Breaux, Cindy Breaux, Debby Breaux Hoefnagel and husband Werner; mother-in-law, Elly Breaux; great-nephew, Nolan Franco; nephews, Mauro Hoefnagel and Morris Hoefnagel; "adopted" nieces, River Vickers Friday and husband Caleb and Toni Martin; his step-sister Vicki McCloskey and step-brother Gary McCloskey; his many, many wonderful friends; Don and Lynne Whatley, Marion and Pat Frances, Jim and Eva Burns, David and Barbara Stewart, Bill and Lucretia Lindley, Ann Sanders,Billy and Lynn Richard, Jimmy and Terri Owens, Jimmy and Nicki Cain, Jorge and Marisia Carrajola, Barry and Karen Cody; work family and wonderful business partners and friends; Tom and Linda Scott, Gene and Kay Lunceford, Gary and Becky Anderson, James and Mindy Provence and all of the employees at PCPMG; his Little Mineral Marina Family; the Farrars, the Farrells, the Sizemores, the Callahans, the Reeses, the Chitwoods, the Jones’, the MacDonalds, the Whites, the Rivers, the Lewis’, the Crandalls, the Wood-Pattersons, the Wises and the entire marina staff; Pagosa Springs friends Bruce & Vicki, David and Rochelle, Seth and Kerry; and the many family members in Louisiana, Texas and South Carolina..

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Scott and Billy Duane Tennyson; "adopted" niece, Arielle Honeywell; in-laws, Maria Regina Breaux Jarrett and Ira Breaux and step-brother Don McCloskey.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013.

An additional memorial service will be held in Pagosa Springs this summer. The date has not yet been set.
