IN LOVING MEMORY

Michael Daniel Hileman

Jul 19 1944 - Jan 15 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael Daniel Hileman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Mike departed this world on January 15, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.

Mike was born on July 19, 1944, in Greenville, Texas, to Carl Herbert Hileman, Jr., and Rachel Routh Hileman.

Mike cut his formal education short to answer the call to serve his country with honor and distinction, proudly joining the United States Marine Corps where he was deployed in multiple combat roles during the Vietnam War. Mike's service in the Marine Corps reflected his unwavering dedication to duty and his innate courage.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lorraine Cobb Hileman of Allen, Texas, who stood by his side through the years, sharing an unparalleled love for one another.   His son, David Hileman, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth, of Friendswood, Texas, were a source of immense pride and joy for Mike. His cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Emily, and Owen, brought light and laughter to his life, creating precious family memories.

As the oldest of five children, he is preceded in death by his sister Mary Margaret Savage and is survived by his sister Carol Marszalek of Pensacola, Florida, both of which he shared a special bond of sibling camaraderie. Mike leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him for his kindness, sense of humor, wisdom, and the love he bestowed upon them.

Michael Daniel Hileman will be remembered not only for his dedicated service to his country but also for the love and kindness he extended to his family and friends.  Mike worked in telecommunications most of his life, ultimately starting his own successful company.  His personality was one of a kind, and his presence was always felt by those around him.   Mike, an avid fisherman and hunter, had a lifelong passion for being in the outdoors.  His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday January 20, 2024 at 12:30 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, located at 2525 Central Expressway N, Allen, Texas.  A brief memorial graveside service with military honors to celebrate Mike's life will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park located adjacent to the funeral home.
