Michael Christopher Ryan

Michael Christopher Ryan passed away on August 7th, 2018, at 28 years of age.  Michael was born in Ventura, California, on December 22nd, 1989, to loving parents John and Tara Ryan.  He grew up in The Colony, Texas, and later moved to Little Elm, Texas.  Michael graduated from Wakeland High School in 2008, and enlisted in the United States Navy in 2009.  He was a machinist mate on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, where he traveled across the world and was stationed in Yokohama, Japan.  Michael became an emergency medical technician in Dallas, Texas, in 2014, where he worked tirelessly and passionately on both medical and children transport with the American Medical Response.  He was extremely proud of his service in the United States Navy.  He loved motorcycles, fast cars and adrenaline.  Michael was an avid hunter, and loved visiting hunting leases with his family and friends.  He is remembered for his kind heart, his compassion and devotion as an emergency medical technician, his fearlessness and bravery as a sailor, and his quick wit and his fun-loving generosity as a son.  He will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his wife, Amanda (Kay) Ryan; his mother, Tara Janine Ryan of Little Elm, Texas; his father, John Ryan and his wife, Lisa, of Corinth, Texas; his brother, Joseph Matthew Ryan of Frisco, Texas; his grandfather, Jack Ryan of Little Elm; his grandmother, Nora Ryan of Dallas, Texas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Memorial service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes in Michael's name.
