Merry Holaday Davis

Funeral Services for Mrs. Merry Holaday Davis, 64 year old Trenton resident, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday October 21, 2013 at the Bois D Arc Creek Cowboy Church at Edhube (located at 3301 S. State Hwy 121 near Bonham). Chaplain Jimmy Sherritt will officiate. Burial will be in the Burns Cemetery at Trenton. Family visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday October 20, 2013 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

Mrs. Davis was born November 9, 1948 at Amarillo. Her parents were Adolph and Lottie Oliver Holaday. She married Harvey Edd Davis February 26, 1970 at Abilene. She was a retired pharmacist, a member of the Panther Creek and Texoma Hog Chapters and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a very determined person and very passionate about her family. She was a talented knitter and she made blankets and sweaters for everybody. She passed away Sunday October 6, 2013 at the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

She is survived by her husband: Harvey Edd Davis of Trenton; her mother: Lottie Oliver Holaday of Belton; her daughter and son-in-law: Ginger and Jack Stowe of Borger; her son and daughter-in-law: Jesse and Jamie Davis of Trenton; her 5 grandchildren: Sean Stowe, Laura Stowe, Katharyn Stowe, Sterling Davis and Shane Davis; her sisters and brother and their spouses: Virginia Gay and Javid Oskiopour of Austin, Robert and Fern Holaday of Pharr and Joy and Don Ryan of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Adolf Holaday, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, “Cookie” and “Pop”.
