Mr. Melville Proctor Bessellieu, age 75 of Plano, Texas passed away on August 28, 2005 in Plano. He was born on July 16, 1930 in Wilmington, North Carolina to Clarence Cecil and Mary V. (Long) Bessellieu. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years. He married Sara Frances Tolbert on June 23, 1950. He was of the Christian faith. Mr. Bessellieu is survived by his wife, Sara Bessellieu of Plano, Texas; children, Bobbie Skelton and husband, Kenneth of Redlands, California, Mel Bessellieu, Jr. of Pilot Point, Texas, Robert Bessellieu of Nashville, Tennessee, and Denise Wood and husband, Bill of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Cecil Bessellieu of Miami, Florida, Gerald Bessellieu of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Robert Bessellieu of Hialeah, Florida; sister, Mary Morse of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Bobbie Ann Shackelford, Ronda Renee Skelton, Robby and Nicholas Bessellieu, Billy, Daniel and Brittney Wood, Stephen Hunter, Ashley, D.J. and Mitchell Bessellieu; and great grandchildren, Sara and Shane Shackelford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Bessellieu; son, David Bessellieu; grandchild, Kimberley Renee Stiles; and sister, Barbara Helen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Fr. Melville Bessellieu, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
