Melodye Rohrberg Blackman, age 49, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 22, 2008 in McKinney. She was born April 4, 1958, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Myron C. and Alice C. (Miller) Rohrberg. She graduated from Glenwood High School in Glenwood, IA, in 1976 and earned her Associate Degree from the American Institute of Business in DesMoines, IA. On May 22, 1982, she married Bruce Blackman in Mineola, Iowa. Melodye was employed by Club Corporation of America for twenty-four years, where she had been the membership director for the Metropolitan Club in Des Moines, IA, Glen Oaks Country Club in W. Des Moines, IA, Stonebridge Country Club in McKinney, TX and was currently with Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, TX. She was of the Lutheran faith. She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Bruce; mother, Alice Rohrberg of Glenwood, IA; sisters, Merillee Waugh and her husband Ron of Glenwood, IA, Marilyn Hagerbaumer and her husband Kevin of Lincoln, NE, and Michelle Holmes and her husband Jim of Pacific Junction, IA; niece, Hilleary; and nephews, Heath, Matthew and Scott. She was preceded in death by her father. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Rafe Wright officiating.
