Melodie Lea Meissner

Melodie Lea Meissner was a gentle soul, born on November 2,1961 in Taipei Taiwan, living on the naval base in Kaohsiung a until the summer of 1963, when they moved back to the states starting in San Diego California, then to Washington, Rhode Island, & finally settling in Texas. She graduated from Garland high school in 1979. 

Melodie also attended college and graduated  from Steven F. Austin State University in the summer of 1983. And also attended college at Texas A&M University Commerce and graduated in 1985, and began her teaching career in Quinlan, Temple and Kaufman. 

On February 12,1983. She got married to her loving husband William Alvin Meissner to whom she was caring, supportive and loving of 36 beautiful years. Then on Melodie and Alvin's 4th wedding anniversary February 12,1987, she gave birth to her son, Brent Nathaniel Meissner, to whom she was a wonderful, loving, caring mother for 32 years. 

She was also a loving and wonderful grandmother to Joshua Landen Chambers and Chance Wayne Fisher.

Melodies family and God always came first, but she was also a woman of many passions, loved animals, reading and writing arts and crafts, music and gardening. 

Melodie is survived by her wonderful husband, William Alvin Meissner, her loving son, Brent Nathaniel Meissner, daughter in law, Heather Lorene Meissner, grandsons Joshua Landen Chamber, and Chance Wayne Fisher and her brother Martin Shambirg. 

She will be greatly missed by all and her kindness is a loss to everyone. She was preceded in death by both parents. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Texas.  

Graveside will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.  John Colyer will officiate.
