Melissa Dawn Fleischer, 41, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2017 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on January 27, 1976 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Jess Howell and Carole (Neyer) Howell. She and Paul Fleischer married on July 26, 1998 and they resided in McKinney, Texas. Melissa was currently a doctoral student.
Melissa was known as one of the best people you could ever have met; she cared about everyone and loved taking care of people. She had the true heart of a servant and was a truly selfless woman. She was a devout Christian and always had a faith that endured. She enjoyed studying psychology and philosophy, as well as spending time with her husband and their pets.
She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her and shared in her life.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Fleischer of McKinney, Texas; father, Jess Howell and wife Talitha of Ardmore, Oklahoma; mother, Carole Howell of McKinney, Texas; three brothers, Matthew Howell and wife Hollie of Kansas City, Kansas, Chad Nelson of McKinney, Texas and Blaine Howell of Ardmore, Oklahoma; nieces, Mallory, Scarlett and Ruby; nephews, Michael and Crimson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mindy and Bill Weaver of McKinney, Texas; mother-in-law, Anita Fleischer of McKinney, Texas; “sister” Terrah White of Ardmore, Oklahoma; her beloved pets, Lucy, Tiera, Gracie and Alice and numerous loving, aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Hoggard; grandparents, Richard and Lucy Neyer and Dale and Velma Howell and father-in-law, Donald Fleischer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Ken Byrd will officiate with burial following at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday, March 30, 2017 from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
