Melba Louise Sullivan age 87, of Franklin, Texas passed away on December 11, 2008. She was born on June 22, 1921 in McKinney, Texas to James S. Hamm and Lila Mae (Hollister) Hamm. On February 22, 1941, she married Louie David Sullivan in McKinney, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin, Texas and was a retired cosmetologist and hair dresser. She is survived by her husband, Louie Sullivan of Franklin, Texas; son, L.D. “David” Sullivan, Jr. and wife Zelta of Franklin, Texas; grandson, Louie David Sullivan, III of El Paso, Texas; granddaughter, Amber Dawn Sullivan of Dallas, Texas; step-granddaughters, Zelta Lou Ann Stanley of Houston, Texas, Terri Barto of Galveston, Texas, and Stacy Hurley of Florida; sister, Beatrice Nance of Greenville, Texas; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, C.W. Hamm, Elton Hamm and Rufus Hamm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2008 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Bourland officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., on Monday, prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
