Megan Aislinn Engel, of Plano, Texas, passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 40. She was born on December 28, 1984, in Sherman, Texas, to her loving parents, Gary Earl Engel and Anne (Tovey) Engel.
Megan graduated from Sherman High School in 2003 before continuing her education at Grayson County Community College and later Collin County College. She dedicated much of her career to healthcare, working at USHV Heart Place as a medical assistant, radiology technician, and office manager.
Megan had a deep love for music, curating an eclectic playlist filled with artists and genres that spoke to her soul. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, cheering them on faithfully—through triumphs and frustrations alike. Above all, Megan had an immense love for dogs. Whether they were her own, a friend’s, or a stray in need of a little extra love, she always had time to offer a hug and a kind word.
A kind and generous soul, Megan cherished her family and friends. She was the fun aunt who showered her nieces and nephews with love, always encouraging them to be kind and treat others well. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Megan is survived by her parents, Anne Engel, and Gary and Tammy Engel; brothers, Adam Engel and wife Cheryl of Frisco, Texas, Devin Engel and wife Brandy of Springfield, Missouri, Stephan Dawson and wife Megan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kyle Dawson and wife Sara of Floresville, Texas; beloved nieces and nephews, Wil, Alex, Kelsey, Lillian, Julia, Cora, Garrison, Ace, Dain, Tre, Liam, Micah, Ellis, Chandler, and Henry; great-nieces and nephews, Bash, Bella, and Benny; and a host of numerous loving family and friends.
