IN LOVING MEMORY

Maxine Moore

May 24 1945 - May 31 2025

Heavenly greetings:

If you are reading this, it means that I  am joyfully present with the LORD. I am so grateful that you thought enough of me to come out today and celebrate with my family and friends in reflective memory of my life. For those of you who did not know me very well, I truly experienced a full and colorful life of outstanding achievements, travels, and abundant blessings. Let me share a few.

Tam Maxine Moore, I was born May 24, 1945, at Los Angeles County General Hospital to Isiah Moore and Bernice Coleman Moore at 10:47 AM. My dad was a United States Navy "Sea Bee", later in life he answered the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. My mom served as a nurse during World War Il. After the war, we moved back to Shreveport where my mom became an entrepreneur with her own beauty salon.

God allowed and equipped me to teach, witness, and spread the Gospel to as many souls as He sent my way, that was my mission each and every day.

My parents both preceded me in appearing before the LORD. My sister Marilyn Moore-McNeal married the love of her life Robert McNeal Sr. and both preceded me in appearing before the LORD. I had one husband, Dexter Lloyd Owens, and never remarried following our divorce. I have one biological brother, Isiah Moore Jr., my pastor, and friend. He married my beloved sister Wanda LaVerne Sykes-Moore, I think the world of her, she is a fabulous woman.

I have fantastic nephews, Robert, Ryan, and Warren. Also, I have remarkable nieces, Aisha, Genice and Tamecia. I have many great nephews and great nieces along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. I have been abundantly blessed with a magnificent family and a bonus extended family. Hopefully, many of you are here today; I loved you all. Know this, I cherished each moment we shared. So, now you know some of my story. We will talk more about it when we meet again in the LORD'S presence. Please do your best to get here. It will really sadden me if you do not come and share God's presence and glory with me and all who love Jesus Christ.

Lovingly,

Maxine Moore

Until we meet again
