Mattie Bourland, age 79, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 30, 2009. She was born July 1, 1929 in Anna, Texas to Earl and Sally (Smith) Channey. On April 9, 1948 Mattie married Tom Billy Bourland in Collin County. She was a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. She is survived by her son, Earl Ross Bourland and wife, LuAnne of Terrell, Texas; daughters, Cathey Hartman and husband, Ronnie of McKinney, Texas, Kay Love and husband, Mickey of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Natalie McDonald and husband, Brian, Billy Ray Bourland and wife, Nancy, Ryan Love and wife, Jill, Ben Love and wife, Kristyn, Bo Alan Bourland and wife, Heather and Bret Hartman and wife, Tana; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Bell Dunn of Pottsboro, Texas and many special nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Sally Channey and her husband, Tom Billy Bourland; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2009 at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lyn Cypert officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
