It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Devon Popham, of McKinney, Texas, on July 5, 2026, at the age of 46.
Born on October 21, 1979, in Dallas, Texas, Matthew was a beloved husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him. He will be remembered for his love of family, his generous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Matthew is survived by his partner, Lauren Higgins, and their cherished daughter, Lynlee Belle Popham, age 2, who was the joy of his life.
He is also survived by his mother, Patti Ramage, and stepfather, Jerry Ramage, Sr., of McKinney; his father, Ronald Popham, and stepmother, Susan Popham, of Fort Worth; his siblings, Steven Ramage and wife Amber of Allen, Chris Falkner and wife Irene of Carrollton, Cristine Ramage, Melissa Ramage, and Jerry Ramage, Jr. of Plano.
Matthew leaves behind his beloved grandmothers, Ruth Cornett of Greenville and JoAnn Popham Polvadore and husband Jim of Fort Worth, along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Matthew's memory will live on through the love he shared, the family he cherished, and the countless lives he touched. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy of love, devotion, laughter, fun and playfulness will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life honoring Matthew will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at The Augustus, located at 350 E. Louisiana Street, Downtown McKinney, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, celebrate his life, and honor the love and joy he brought to so many.
