IN LOVING MEMORY

Matilda "Ann" Ulbik

May 25 1937 - Mar 24 2022

On March 24, 2022 at the age of 84, our beloved mother Matilda Ann Burns Ulbik of Plano, Texas peacefully passed away. Ann was born to James and Mary Frances Burns of Collingswood, New Jersey on May 25, 1937, who preceded her in death along with her brother, James Burns of Westmont, New Jersey. Ann graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1955. Being the amazing singer she was, the school choir was her calling which became her life’s passion. Ann loved horseback riding, ice skating and was an avid competitive bowler in her adult years. In 1957, Ann married the love of her life, Robert T. Ulbik of Oaklyn, New Jersey. Together they raised 4 children: Robert Ulbik (Martha), Rowlett Texas, Kathleen Dixon (Harold), Santa Fe, New Mexico, Michael Ulbik (Donna), Irving Texas, and Eileen Elliott, Plano, Texas. Ann was "Nana" to 6 grandchildren: Jenny, Tommy, Mark, Jessica, Travis and Nathan; and 8 great grandchildren:  Henry, George, Gavin, Isabelle, Abigail, Mason, Anthony and Wesley.  Also survived by a very special "chosen" sister, Dotti Testa of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey who has been by Ann's side her entire life. Ann spent every day loving her family and friends. Her accomplishments are many, but the greatest was service to her church, faith in God, and being the strongest woman anyone could know. Her sweet smile and giving spirit will forever be remembered. The family would like to thank Beverly, Alvertine and Tonya with Care Plus Hospice and CC Nurses, PJ, Angela and Molly and the caregivers at Carrara. According to Ann's wishes, we will honor our mother's life with a private family gathering and a Mass in her name.
