Mary "Marilyn" Wayne Wassell

Mary "Marilyn" Wayne Wassell was born on April 2, 1933 in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on November 5, 2021 in Plano, Texas.  After attending Forest Avenue High School and Woodrow Wilson High School, she went on to study nursing in Los Angeles, becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in both Texas and California. After founding the Walker’s Training Centers and Nurse's Bureau in Dallas and Houston, she became a Real Estate Broker until she retired.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Marilyn "Maxi" Wayne Walker; grandson, Matthew John Tibbenham; nieces, Charmayne Cherie Boeving, Michele McKellar, Pamela Liebrum, and Carmen Renee Sanders; nephew, Edwin King Jr.; great-niece, Dr. Alexandra Allen; great-nephews, Christian Boeving and Dr. Nicholas Boeving.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Omer H. Steele Sr. and Ella Mae Arms; husband, James "Mac" McClellan Wassell; son, William John Walker Jr.; brother, Omer H. Steele Jr.; half-sisters, Laurita Elizabeth Vilbig and Charmayne King; nephews, Richard "Ricky" Michael Steele and Charles "Skippy" John Vilbig; nieces, Shirley K. Singleton and Lauretta "Spunky" K. Dudley.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas.
