IN LOVING MEMORY

MaryKay Esfahani

Oct 23 1949 - Nov 02 2020

Mary Kathryn Esfahani, 71, a woman of God’s own heart, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2020. MaryKay was born on October 23, 1949 to Walter Sylvester and Mary M. (Campbell) Allen in Florence, South Carolina. MaryKay grew up with her mother and two brothers moving from state to state following her father’s Corps of Engineers profession. She aspired to be a mother, teacher and architect. She attended the University of North Texas where she met her lifelong friends and her love, her husband, Morris, acquiring an associates degree. MaryKay and Morris were married on January 26th, 1969. They took up roots and became Texans and lifelong Cowboys fans. MaryKay and Morris raised their three children in Plano, Texas. She was a mom, in the truest sense of the word, encouraging, comforting and loving to everyone. Always being the peacemaker, she was called “Mom” by many because she could always be counted on for her good council, forgiveness and confidence. She had a heart for serving others and helped care for others through her 46 years with State Farm Insurance.  Mary Kay spent her life caring for her family and friends before herself, never stopping to do for herself. Her children brought her much joy, and later her joy was increased by being with and caring for her grandchildren. Mary Kay taught many, through her Christ like actions- teaching by example the way to truly love, showing Grace and forgiveness, how to persevere, how to have faith and trust in the Lord, how to be patient and listen and never give up because all things are possible through God.  MaryKay loved music, and art, especially all things turquoise, her granny luncheons, watching the Cowboys play, and she loved the beach and fondly remembered going to the beach with her little brothers. It was her place for peace and fun. She had a sweet tooth, loved blue and white china, orange marmalade, trivia/board or word games, and loved the beauty of other cultures.  MaryKay was a rare person, a blessing to everyone she knew, and a light in this world that greatly needed it.  She will be dearly missed.

MaryKay was preceded in death by her parents, son, Joseph Esfahani; and brother, Wright Allen.

She is survived by her husband, Morris Esfahani of McKinney, Texas; children, Michael Esfahani and wife, Vanessa of Frisco, Texas, and Maryam Kathryn Arnold and husband, Matthew of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Evie, Joey, Luna, and Shiloh; brother, Grady Allen and wife, Ann of Greensboro, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Susan Allen of Fort Worth, Texas; her nephews West Allen and wife Anna, and Reeve Allen of Fort Worth Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
