Mary Ellen Dean of Fairview, Texas passed away on February 1, 2019 at the age of 83. She was born on February 14, 1935 to Leonard and Lillian (Tucker) Estes in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Mary Ellen was a graduate of Dallas Baptist University. She married Joe Emerson Dean on November 26, 1966 in Mercedes, Texas. Mary Ellen worked at Mary Kay Cosmetics for 33 years, retiring as a senior buyer and asset manager. She was a member of Cottonwood Creek Church.
Mary Ellen is survived by her sister, Barbara Whitlock of Corpus Christi, Texas; step-children, Bill Dean and wife, Mary Ellen of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Nancy Simpson of Plano, Texas, Deanna Hoxworth and husband, Gary of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Larry Dean and wife, Lynda of Lakewood Village, Texas; fiancé, Milton Jones and his family; grandchildren, Melanie Dean, Tory Perry, Felischia Burroughs, Debra Weatherford, Staci Murphy, Alex Dean, James Simpson, Eric Hoxworth, Christopher Hoxworth; over twenty-five great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; niece, Shelly Whitlock-Floyd and husband, Steven of Corpus Christ, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lillian Estes and husband, Joe Dean.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The family will have a reception at Cottonwood Creek Church, following the service, between 1:30-4:00 p.m. An inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
