Mary Sue Zirkel

Jul 29 1948 - Mar 05 2019

Mary Sue Maness Zirkel was born July 29, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Frank Arlin Maness and Mary Elizabeth Mills Maness. She married the love of her life, Richard Lee Zirkel, on January 27, 1965 in Santa Ana, California. She left this world to be with her heavenly father on March 5, 2019, at the age of 70 years.

Mary practiced as a licensed nurse before obtaining her real estate license. She worked as a realtor for many years before moving to her country lake house. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.

Mary pursued many hobbies, including sewing, interior design, crafting, and antiquing. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that awaited her.

Mary was blessed with a large and loving family. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Richard Zirkel; son, Richard K. (Lee Ann) Zirkel of Whitewright; daughter, Cindy (Scott) Uber of Aubrey; five grandchildren, Preston, Casey, Devin, Danny, and Caitlyn; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Thalia, and Michael; brothers, Loye Maness, Danny Maness, and Paul Maness; and sister, Rolanda Eubanks. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Mary will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019, in Whitewright, Texas at Oak Hill Cemetery. Brother Brian Holt will officiate. Viewing will be prior to the service at graveside.
