Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Peebles, age 90 of Celina, Texas passed away on July 31, 2009 in Celina. She was born on May 4, 1919 in Little Elm, Texas to Clem Otis and Mattie Bell (Salmon) Thomas. Betty married Thomas Ezra Peebles in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a Daycare Director and was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Cliff. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Gray and her husband, Rockford; sons, Thomas Ezra Peebles, III and his wife, Martha of Ranger, Texas, Jon Wayne Peebles and his wife, Janice of Duncanville, Texas; grandchildren, Heather Vines, Jason Wolens, Hollie Havens, Rockford Vance Gray III, Amy Ridings, Thomas E. Peebles IV, Keith Peebles, Jodi LaRue, Justin Peebles, Kim Winnubst, Megan Dame; twenty-two great-grandchildren and her sister, Joann McSpadden. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Bobbie Wolens; her parents; six brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends during a Visitation to be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Little Elm Cemetery with Dr. David Kuykendall officiating.
