Mrs. Mary Whitmire Ortiz, age 73, of Princeton, Texas passed away February 11, 2008, in McKinney, Texas. She was born May 10, 1934, in Princeton to Roy Edmond and Clara Mae (Hickman) Lokey. Mrs. Whitmire Ortiz retired from Fisher Controls in McKinney and was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter, Katerine Peterson of Morrow, Georgia; sons, Jeffrey Stout of Lovelady, Texas and Roger Stout of Plano, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Bishop of Princeton and Nelda Burnside of Farmersville, Texas; and brother, Kenneth Lokey also of Farmersville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Chris Whitmire and second husband, Edward Ortiz; son, James Edmond Stout; brother, Berlin Lokey; and sister, Wilma Reisor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
