Mary Nell Geist, age 84, of The Colony, Texas passed away on August 22, 2022, in Carrollton, Texas. She was born on July 19, 1938, to Erma Elise (Offenstein) and Walter David Holloway in Jefferson County, Illinois. On August 31, 1957, Mary married Steven Adrian Geist in Dahlgren, Illinois.
Mary is survived by her four children, Sandra Geist of Little Elm, Texas, Russell Geist and his wife, Cathy of The Colony, Texas, Sharon Raper and her husband, Kevin of Frisco, Texas, Dan Geist and his wife, Katie of Windermere, Florida; her seven grandchildren, Zachary, Michael Raper, Jessica, Joseph, Steven, Grace, and Shelby Geist; her sister, Eunice Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Geist; her parents, Erma and Walter Holloway; her two brothers, Donald and Lowell Holloway; and her sister, Elise Harlow.
A Funeral Service will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 12:00 PM with a Visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Swisher Cemetery, 612 N. Shady Shores Road, Lake Dallas, Texas 75065. Family and friends are invited to a Reception following interment at Berkshire Chapel.
