Mary L. Tallant passed away December 15, 2023 in Honey Grove, Texas at the age of 74. She was born to Richard Calvin and Elsie Louise (Conger) Sanders on August 23, 1949 in Compton, California.
Mary wed Calvin Tallant in Honey Grove, Texas on February 28, 1994. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mary is survived by her husband, Calvin Tallant of Honey Grove, Texas; daughter, Clarice Reeves of Kileen, Texas; son, Richard Reeves and wife, Christi of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother, Calvin Sanders of Paris, Texas; sister, Lynda Foote and husband, Jimmy of Honey Grove; sister, Elizabeth Brionez and husband, Eloy of Honey Grove, Texas; five nieces, five nephews, and several other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Jessica Rosemary Reeves and Helen Ann Reeves; son, Steven Forest McKinley Reeves; brother, Michael Sanders, and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Westside Baptist Church in Honey Grove, Texas. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday morning at the church. Interment will be held following the service at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas at 3:30 p.m.
