Mary Hicks Caldwell of Dallas, Texas, passed away on January 3, 2019, at the age of 75. She was born on August 31, 1943 to Ezekiel and Mattie Hicks in Waco, Texas. Mary married Daniel L. Caldwell on August 24, 1968, in Waco. She was a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway. Mary was a long time member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas where she volunteered for many years. She was most passionate with her volunteering at the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center.
Mary is survived by her children, Stephen Caldwell of Plano, Texas, Nicole Caldwell and husband, Simon Bazbaz of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters, Eden Rose Bazbaz, Chelli Maryann Bazbaz and Mia Bazbaz, all of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Bobbie Hudlin of San Antonio, Texas, Marvella Garrett of Fort Worth, Texas and Shirley Hicks of Waco, Texas; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel L. Caldwell, her parents, and brothers, Arthur Lee Hicks and EJ Hicks.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
