Mrs. Mary Jo Herring, age 65 of Fairview, Texas passed away on February 16, 2006 in Fairview. She was born on July 21, 1940 in Monahans, Texas to Jack and Darlene (Redden) Wilson. She married Jimmy Herring on August 6, 1960 in Monahans, Texas. Mary Jo was a beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always surrounded by her family and friends. Her most prized possession was her five grandchildren. Her giving heart touched many lives. Mrs. Herring was in modular furniture sales and attended First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Herring of Fairview, Texas; children, Mylinda Carter and husband, Mike of Allen, Texas and Jimmy Herring and wife, Wendy also of Allen; grandchildren, Tucker Carter, Cole Carter, Heidi Herring, Haiden Herring, Halle Herring; mother, Darlene Wilson of Monahans, Texas; and siblings, Yvonne Smith of Destin, Florida, Rita Mosley of Austin, Texas, Jackie Wilson of Hobbs, New Mexico, Ricky Wilson of Giddings, Texas, Nicky Wilson also of Giddings, Texas; and David Wilson of Paradise, Texas. Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her father and sister, Linda Cockerham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas with Pastor Chad Selph officiating. A private family interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Allen, Texas.
