Mrs. Mary Jane Chapman, age 75, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on February 19, 2010. Mary Jane was born on October 29, 1934 in Italy, Texas to Wirt L. and Rilla Maye (Martin) Baucom. She grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Highland Park High School. Mary Jane worked briefly for the telephone company. She then married her husband, Charles F. Chapman, in Dallas, on November 23, 1955. Mary Jane enjoyed working in her yard. She was a member of First Christian Church in McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Charles Chapman and wife Shelley, of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Charles Chapman and Brandie Jo Bailey Wild; great-grandchildren, Blaike Wild and Adian Wild; sister, Virginia “Jenny” Kellum of Red Oak, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Herman Wirt Baucom, Vasco Baucom, and Emory Baucom. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Monday, February 22, 2010, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday evening, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
