Mary Lee Burchfield, age 88, formerly of Whitewright, Texas, passed away on July 30, 2007, at Vitas Hospice Care in Irving, Texas. Mary Lee was born May 22, 1919, in Orangeville, Texas, and lived most of her life in Whitewright. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Virgil L. Burchfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitewright. Mary Lee was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. She was a caring lady who found foy and happiness through her family and friends. She is survived by sons, James and his wife Evelyn of Irving and Mike and his wife Betty of Irving; grandchildren, Vicki Burchfield of Irving, Stacie Burchfield of Denton, Greg and his wife Deadra of Flower Mound, and Scott and his wife Becky of Grand Prairie; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Jake Burchfield of Grand Prairie and Lexi Burchfield of Flower Mound; step-great-grandchildren, Tim and Heather Thompson of Grand Prairie; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews; and best friend, Lorene Bond. Mary will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. The family is forever grateful for the loving care given to Mary Lee by the Staff at Hearthstone Assisted Living; and to Vitas Hospice Care who allowed her a peaceful and dignified transition in her last days. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 2, 2007, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, prior to the service at Earnheart Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard.
